Bazzill cardstock. I wish the colors were as pretty and pastel as IRL. I love pastels in the spring!!

"Antique" card

At one time I had a rather large collection of old post cards. Some had been sent in the early 1900's. I had picked them picked them up at different sales for a very small amount of money. I loved the "oldness" of the paper, pictures, and even the hand writing.

This card reminds me of those old postcards. You expect to catch the faint smell of old paper as you open it. But, no old smell here, I made it with all new papers and ink just yesterday. LOL I think it is a perfect masculine card. (Now, if I can actually bring myself to give it away!LOL)

The stamp is a retired TAC set, stamped with Old Photo Distress ink. I have had the DP for a couple of years just waiting for the right project, I think it really works here.

*BTW- I love the ATG I showed you last time. It works like a dream!*

It's here!

OK, I know I am crazy, but, I got a new toy today!! I am so tired of always being out of adhesive. It seems that every time I get real creative, things have to wait until I get more adhesive. Well, this should help with that problem. LOL

Yep, it is the "mother" of all adhesives. LOL Oh yea, this baby holds 36 YARDS of adhesive. Do you know how many cards and scrap book layouts I can do now?

I am hoping to have some new TAC rubber to share this week also, so stay tuned.

DUH!!

I don't have any pictures to share today. Why, you may wonder. Because I had sent out 2 cards without scanning them!! (Duh! ** Hitting self on forehead**) Drop them in the mailbox, and THEN I remember that I should have shared them. LOL (Which reminds me that I probably didn't SIGN the inside of Ashley's Valentine card. There were a couple of others I forgot to sign, but I opened them and signed them before mailing. Has anyone one else ever done this? I am positive I am the only one. LOL)
We have had the bug this week. Hailey and I had it Monday, and yesterday Hunter and HB had it. I hope it decided to pack up and move. And hopefully, it will not stop to visit any of you!!!:-)
Until later~

(Sorry for the ramblings. I will try to have something to look at next time.)

Masculine card

Here is one of HB's Birthday cards. I seem to always have trouble doing masculine cards. Maybe it is because I like using flowers and ribbons, LOL. The stamps are from the set Fore and the card stock is Bazzill Mono Blues. The ink is Palette's Starry night. (All from The Angel Company.)

-If you have not used the Palette inks here is a little info for you.-

Acid free, archival, non-fading. Hybrid ink dries fast on glossy and smooth surfaces, unlike pigment inks, with thicker color coverage than most dye based inks.
The new Palette Hybrid ink pad represents the latest innovation in stamping ink technology. It eliminates all the confusion over which ink to use for what surface - because it works on everything and is a non-solvent ink. So that means it doesn’t smell bad and it’s nonflammable and it won’t immediately dry out. It dries instantly on paper and porous surfaces but requires a heat-set on glossy surfaces and fabrics. It does dry too quickly to be a good embossing ink.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Today is the day we celebrate love. I am so blessed, I am told many times each and every day that I am loved. I smile every time HB tells me. My heart grows two sizes every time Hunter tells me. And even though Hailey does not have the words yet, her little baby hugs tell me. As much as I delight in each of those, none of them compare to being told by my Heavenly Father each and everyday that He loves me. What an amazing feeling to know that the Creator of all things loves me so much that he has memorized every detail of me. And in the words of those great orators (Bob and Larry)- God made you special, and He loves you very much!!!

This is the last Sweet skunks Valentine for this year. I waited to share this one because it is for my Special Valentine!
(I love you sweetheart!!<3)
The stamped image was masked and the background was sponged. The flowers are Primas. I will try this again with different flowers.
(Sorry for the crooked scan. LOL)
Until later~
Happy Birthday HB!!!!!

Birthdays

This card is for Emma's birthday. The candles are from the Mini occasions TAC set. Versa magic inks were heat embossed with the clear embossing powder. Her name and the circles around each letter are from a stamp set I picked up at a Scrap/stamp Expo a couple of years ago. (I love using them to personalize cards for birthdays and for new babies!)

This next card is for my mom. She loves Popsicles- banana or root beer!! When she is lucky enough to find a box of either flavor, she always stocks up. I decided to make the ice cream bars look like Popsicles just for her. ;-) (BTW- my favorite flavor is Orange, Hunter likes the red ones {his current favorite color-like Lightening McQueen!}, and Hailey LOVES them all.)

The little girl looks like Hailey, so I am sure Grammy will love it!! Ice Cream is a brand new stamp set in The Angel Company's Inspiration Book and Catalogue Spring/Summer edition. (Oh, BTW- this is the very FIRST time I used my scalloped scissors! LOL How long have I had those anyway? LOL)

Work night was moved from Tuesday night to Wednesday night this week. I am proud to say that my Valentines are done and ready to mail!! I have 2 birthday cards ready to mail, and I even whipped up a St. Patrick's Day card- just for the fun of it! LOL

First, another Valentine-

This is a very simple card using the Love Doodles stamp set. A couple of gems were added as accents. In the scan you can not see that the heart inside the square on the lower right side was layered 3 times. The first layer was stamped directly on the card, the next layer the white part of the box was cut out and used. Finally, the heart only was cut and pop dotted to the second layer. IRL it looks very cool. Besides the Palette inks, Tombow markers were also used.

Oh yea, and the design was CASED from my Angel friend Mary. (Mary has pictures of her new cuddle buddy you need to see.)

Isn't amazing that one day each year we all can be Irish? LOL Honestly, I have no idea where my families came from, but I am sure there is a little Irish in there somewhere. ;-)
This is the very first St. Paddy's card for me. The frog is from the Hoppy Everything set, (TAC) and a true Angel Trudy sent me the stamped image. (Make sure you click on her name to see her amazing work!!) He is colored with the Prismacolor Pencils, and outlined with the Tombow gray marker. Mini Sampler and Swirlygigs was used for the background. The cardstock is Matchmakers and the dark green is also from TAC. It doesn't show up well, but the corners have been pierced.
Well, now that I have jumped ahead to St. Paddy's day, I need to back up a minute- DH's birthday is the 14th of February. Yep, he is my Valentine birthday boy!! :-) I am having the hardest time coming up with a card idea for him this year. (Maybe it is because I have used all of my "manly" stamps for him already? LOL Where did I put the new The Angel Company catalogue? Momma *needs* new rubber!!! LOL)
Because I have been so long winded today, I will share the other cards another time.
Until later~
