Congratulations

You've come a long way Baby Girl!! We attended her high school graduation party yesterday. Ashley has become a beautiful, caring, intelligent young lady. She makes me so proud- many kids have gone through much less than she has and still use their situation as an excuse not to become a better person.
She received not one, but two scholarships during the Senior Assembly on Friday. It is exciting to think she will be heading off to college in the fall. (She will take a few classes at the Stark branch of Kent State.)
I know her momma would be so proud of her!!
I love you Ashley!! Congratulations!!

Another Robot card

This is the last card we made during May's Copic card class at Pizazz It! This as another really cute design- I like how the card front is cut short and the image placement. Again we used the tip to tip method for shading, and on this one we colored the ribbon with the Copics. (The ribbon started out as a yellow/white gingham!!)
Stamp- Stampendous Robot friends
Copics- B41, B45, C1, C4,RV11, YR02, 0, E57
Thanks for stopping by!!

Robot cad #2

This is the second card from the monthly Copics card class at my LSS. I *think* this one is my favorite. (It reminds me of Hunter. He recently has been on a robot kick. He saved empty boxes and built a robot by himself. He said his invisible robot went to soccer with him on Thursday. LOL)
The gears were cut from designer paper, I think they "make" the card.

Copic card class card

Sunday was May's Copic Card class at my LSS. It did me good to get out and be creative. Karrie did a fantastic job with this month's cards!! The little robot is too cute!!
Here is card number 1-
This is a square card- too cute. We worked on tip to tip shading. The teeny, tiny pearls were colored with Copics too- a great way to ALWAYS have the perfect embellishment for any project. The little robot and dog are "fussy cut" and then pop dotted. Dontcha love that tiny bow on the doggie? LOL

First of the season!!

We came home on Wednesday after being gone for two weeks and things changed a lot while we were gone. We got new neighbors across the street, the landscape has some beautiful blooms, the Rose bush is in full bloom, the Irises are gorgeous, and...........

Our first Strawberries of the season!!
As you can see, we don't have many strawberry plants left, but- boy oh boy- do we enjoy the ones we have.

(It is hard to believe that as of  8:15 this morning my mom has been gone for one week!! Please keep our family in prayer.)

Spring Soccer 2010

Hunter's last soccer practice was yesterday. The kids really enjoyed it- they played against the dads. LOL
Even though score is not kept for the 4&5 year olds- their team is undefeated. Hunter missed a few games, he had Scarlet fever and then we have been out of town for 2 weeks. I am so glad he was able to go to practice last night!! The week he was to take after game snacks we had thunderstorms and the game was canceled. He was very proud to hand those out last night. Now, if the weather will cooperate they can finish up their season tomorrow. Go CREW!!

For his first year I think he did very well!! We will see in the fall if he wants to play again. =)
