Ohio State Fair 2008

If you have been following this blog very long you already know I do not scrap in any particular order. I like to go through my photos and whatever catches my attention is what I work on. So that is how I ended up with my 2008 pictures of the Ohio State Fair in the next few layouts I will be sharing. (Another reason I love scrapping older pictures is the little walk down memory lane that is sure to follow.)
This layout was inspired by a Cricut cartridge I picked up just after Christmas- it is Carousel. Not only are there lots of Circus related die cuts on this cartridge, but there are some that could be used for a variety of subjects. (Don't forget you can click on the photos to see them larger.)

I coordinated my cardstock and designer paper with the colors in my photos. The colors give this layout a fun fell, don'tcha think? :-) The "Rides" title is a layered cut on the cartridge. I love the ease of using pre-designed phrases for titles.

I really like the ride cuts, and even though the pictures are not roller coasters and ferris wheels they work so well together. I used my Gypsy to determine the sizes of my die cuts.

This was Hailey's first mid-way ride. She was a little nervous in the beginning- she how she has her tummy sucked in? LOL Sure sign she was a little scared. But one trip around and the girl was waving and smiling!!
I know I will be using the ticket cut many times! Here I added a few stamped phrases  and a little distress ink around the edges to make them pop.
You can also see the Apron Lace border and the tiny little staple from the Tiny Attacher in this details photo.
A couple of little embellishments and a couple of black photo mats and I called this one done. LOL
Thanks for stopping by!!
Until later~
