Fore!!

LOL, now that my picture is uploaded it looks a little crooked. LOL Don't you just hate that? I have another card I wanted to post, but I really got one piece crooked. I never notice until I see my pictures posted. (The worst part is I already mailed the other crooked one. OOPS)
This is Fore from TAC. DH loves this set, but he loves Golf too. I used Charcoal & Chartreuse Palette ink spots. (The small size of the 1x1 cube was perfect for getting ink on the grass. And only $7.95 (USD) for 4 ink pads, it is a great deal. Not to mention an inexpensive way to build your ink collection. ) The cardstock is Matchmakers and TAC and the Designer paper is Just like Dad.
We are heading up north tomorrow to celebrate Hunter's 4th Birthday. Sunday is our Labor Day Picnic at Church and Monday will be a day to relax a little- I hope. LOL I lost Friday and Saturday last week (Hailey went into the Hospital early Thursday morning, and not seeing the sunshine for a couple of days really threw me off.) and I am still trying to find them. LOL So, if you happen to have an extra Friday and Saturday from last week would you please send them to me???
Have a great weekend!!!

Woodrowe

Woodrowe- I got this kit 2 weeks ago. I was completely shocked at how many elements were in there- 62 to be exact. Yep I counted. LOL There are covers and enough pages for 2 complete mini albums. Also included are tons of little interesting embellishments! Honestly, I felt like I got my money's worth with this one. :-) I completed one album and the other one I am leaving in pieces- I am planning a mini album class and I want my ladies to see all of the possibilities. Ok, I know you want to see the pictures- right? LOL

<--- Cover

I love the pocket pages-->

<--see the cute little pocket and insert with coordinting tab?

Another pocket page, perfect to slip a photo in or a journal box.

Photo corners and book plate. I love the colors in this album, it looks so Christmas-y.

A journal box and a tiny tag.

<--last 2 pages.

I did not stamp this one or add any extras. I wanted my class to see how simple it is to make a complete album in a VERY short time.
Barb has posted her Woodrowe Albums HERE. She has done such a fantastic job on hers. I love the interactive pages!!

Hailey is doing much better. We have gotten a little rest. The meds have her all jacked up. At the hospital she was up until 3 am each night. And she was not napping but only 20 minutes during the day. I was getting 3 hours sleep a night. I am much more rested now and feeling more like myself. I think the hardest part was when she was in the PICU she saw a Pizza Hut commercial, she was begging for Pizza, she wasn't allowed anything to eat or drink for 31 hours. It broke my heart to not be able to give her pizza.
Today's Blessings-
**An excellent Children's Hospital less than 10 miles from home.**
**Doctors and nurses that went far above and beyond to treat her**
**Being able to get back to normal**
**Prayers from so many people!!**
** Being able to stay with Hailey the entire time she was in the hospital**
While in the PICU I could hear a tiny baby crying, the little thing cried for several hours. When I went down the hall to the restroom I peeked in the door on my way by. No one was in there to comfort or care for that little one. I know that holding him would have done wonders, but he was sick and all alone. SO sad. He ended up being transferred to the NICU, I just pray that all goes well. I can not imagine having a sick little one and not being there- or worse yet not being able to be there.

I have been away....

Wednesday evening Hailey started coughing, she got short of breath and then started having trouble breathing. We headed to Children's Hospital at 3 am Thursday morning and she ended up being admitted. She was released around 1 this PM. She was in the PICU area Thursday and was able to go to a regular room yesterday. I have only had about 13 of hours sleep since Wednesday morning.
Hailey is doing well, it is hard to keep her from running around and getting herself to coughing again. Since this was her first Asthma attack we don't know what caused it or if it will happen again. God has been with us!!! We are going to recover for a couple of days and then I will be back. LOL

SBS and Angels- I will catch up with you soon.

Please keep Hailey bug in your prayers.
Also all of the other sick children there and there families.

3x3 card box and cards

Last week just was not a very creative week for me. I guess that will happen from time to time. LOL But, I did manage to get two things done. Today I am sharing a set of cards and a box to store them in. The cards are 3x3- the perfect size for gift cards. I used Reece cardstock , Reece ribbon and some of the tags from the Reece Soar with it Collection , I like that you can get 3 cards from a 1/2 sheet of the card stock. I only used two stamp sets- Snowman Nativity and Curls and Swirls for the entire set. These darling little cards are an excellent way to use up some of your scraps.

The box is very easy to put together, I found the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers (SCS) last week. I did do a couple of things differently- I didn't make a scalloped edge on mine, and I used The Angel Company's paper collection for the lid. The designer paper from TAC is printed cardstock, so I didn't need to adhere designer paper to the cardstock lid. I will be making some more of these.
Today's Blessings~
**Family and friends**
**All of you Ladies that inspire and encourage me!! THANK YOU!!**
**Knowing that no matter what happens- God is in control**

Hunter, my partner in all things paper

Today I want you to get to know my Scrapbooking and card making partner-Hunter. He is very creative and his art work amazes me. Even though he is only 3 (soon to be 4) his drawings look very good. (He must get that from his daddy. LOL)

He loves to make cards for others and always tries to include everything that is their "favorite" on his cards. (As in everything on one card. LOL) He has his own little space in my studio to store his supplies. He knows which cardstock he can use and which ones are mommy's. He is becoming quit good with his little safety scissors, and he can glue with the best of them.He also knows that once the card is complete we need to "take a picture now mommy." LOL

We spend Hailey's nap time creating together. (Hailey is still a Holy Terror in the studio. For you ladies with cats, well she is as bad as your cat times 10. LOL) Just yesterday he told me that the studio was "Hunter's and mommy's studio."

I finished a card one day last week, and I was thinking it could use some ribbon. I started to take my pictures of the things I had finished and when I got to that card I asked Hunter what he thought of it. "Hummm, it needs some ribbon." he said. That little stinker!! (I guess I taught him well. LOL)

So, it was a little while ago that my SBS sister Robyn (aka The Pink Stamper)posted this video-Kid's Krafts#1. Well, ever since Hunter saw that video he has wanted the Cuttlekids machine. His birthday is in 3 weeks, and I am pleased to say he will be the very proud owner of that little bug and his very own dies. Daddy stopped and got it one day last week and I can't remember which dies he got.

The decorations hanging from my shelves are Hunter's creations. In the last picture he is holding the Threading Water punch we like to use.
Hunter, I love you little man!! I love the time we spend together being creative. You make me so proud! I am very Blessed that God chose me to be your mommy. You will always be my little buddy. Never lose your love for art, and for wanting to do nice things for others!!

An'udder cow card

Same stamp set, same paper, cardstock and ribbon collection-different look. This little lady always reminds me of the Red Hat ladies. LOL (And for once I colored the hat a color other than red. LOL) I like using the wider ribbon. (I try to keep the cards I mail flat so I don't have to be concerned with extra postage and a trip to the PO, but when I took this card in yesterday I was told it is fine. We will see if it gets there safely. LOL) This one is going to my mom's friend who is also taking Chemo. They both have treatments this week.
I won't bore you with all the details. :-) (But if you really want to know you can see everything HERE.)

I hope your weekend is a good one.

Cute cow card- hee hee

I hope you are enjoying the last of the "lazy" days of summer. Can you believe school starts in less than 2 weeks! (I know some eager students have already gone back.) YIKES!!

This card uses two of my current favorites-The Miss Moxie Soar With It Collection and An'udder Birthday stamp set. (Ok, I lied- 3 of my favorites- I have to add coloring with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. LOL) The cardstock and ribbon are also apart of the Miss Moxie collection. The swirls (Curls and Swirls) are stamped in L'Amore Red.

Today's blessings-

**Good news on mom's tests**

**Beautiful weather in Central Ohio**

**It's the weekend**

Another Christmas card

I was just playing around- and I actually came up with something I like. LOL (How often does that happen? LOL) I made 5 of these Christmas cards. Slowly, but surely I am getting them done. LOL

The left side is scored and adhered on the inside, the card opens like a book. (You know what I am trying to say? LOL) The designer paper (Reece) is on the "spine". The front of the card was embossed with the Scor-pal, and then stamped with Aspen Mist Versamagic chalk ink. The stamp is from the Curls and swirls set. The main image (from Vintage Christmas) was matted using the cardstock from the Reece collection. The scrappers floss was tied on the chocolate ribbon and then wrapped around my paper piercer to form curlicues.

Kiddos are up, so I need to run.

How Swell- Take 2

This is the second lady in the How swell set. (You can see the other hip momma here.) On this card I used the Mimi SWIC. I love the feminine designs and colors in this collection. And the lime, pink and antique brown color combo is so yummy. The cardstock and ribbon are also a part of the Mimi collection. (I ending up not using the coordinating hardware this time. I was having a hard time choosing which pieces to use. LOL) The pink bling was some I have had for a while and had never used. (Oh my!!) LOL The Skin tone pencils are one of my favorite all time purchases!! I was so tired of trying to get the perfect flesh color, and now I have many options. (If you don't have them I would HIGHLY recommend them. I have used them on animals and the browns are very useful.)

A day of fun...

Guess where we went yesterday. I will give you a hint....

<-- The Butter Cow. Yep, the cow, calf and the faces of 8 of our Presidents are sculpted out of butter. An average of 1/2 a million people see the butter cow every year at the Ohio State fair.

My DH is a judge for the fair. He is the one that places the Blue ribbons on the crop related entries. He has been doing the judging for several years. We like to tag along whenever possible.

Here are some random pictures-

This was the first "real" State fair for the kids- and they had a blast!! There is nothing like seeing the state fair through the eyes of a child!! Hailey loves the animals, walking through the barns she was making the animals sounds too. (The girl does not have one quiet bone in her body. LOL) She was just as loud as the critters. I think her favorite was the petting zoo. She squealed (very loudly) when she touched each animal.

Hunter's favorite part was the giant slide. He climbed all the way to the top with daddy, and then the fun began. He was smiling from ear to ear the whole way down, and then once they came to a stop at the bottom he let out a happy scream. He was so funny!!

Daddy's favorite part is always the food!! A part of being a fair judge is being fed in the Governor's Building. It is air conditioned, cloth tablecloths and napkins, and incredible food. This year they served a mixed salad with tons of veggies, cooked carrots, scalloped potatoes, Rib eye steaks and Pineapple glazed ham. It was so good!! For dessert was a chunk of chocolate cake- as smooth as silk!! Daddy was too full after dinner to get any of the "fair food". (On our way to the van we did get a funnel cake and huge ice cold lemonade!)

My favorite part is taking pictures to scrapbook. I also love the sights, sounds, smells (well, most of them LOL) tastes and all the different things to touch.

We had two very tired kiddos last night. You know- the tired in a good way- kind of tired.

Until later~
