Feathering technique with Copics

I am working on my "feather" technique, here I used it on the butterfly. You flick the 2 colors into each other without doing the typical blending. This technique works well with the lighter colors.
The card front was cut slightly shorter than the card back, and then the image overhangs the edge. I used my thumb nail and finger to break down the fibers in the flower so I could give it a little shape. Did you notice the ticket punched corners on the designer paper?
A couple of things I like about this card- the Upper Crust border punched designer paper, the Copic Airbrushed button, purple twine and the faux ribbon made from a strip of cardstock folded in half and ends trimmed on an angle.

Isn't that little mouse adorable? LOL I like how the inside corners are rounded instead of the normal outside corners. Little details like this show that you put a lot of thought into your design. (Thanks Karrie for the details!!) The photo corner is pop dotted, again a little detail that adds lots of interest.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Until later~
