Quickie 3-30 (no stamping)

This card is most definitely a quickie. The circle piece was cut with the Cricut (using the Storybook cartridge) and the sentiment is a rub on from an awesome giveaway from Tania. A couple pieces of bling and this baby is done- in about three minutes flat. LOL (It took me a little while to find my gems, I kept overlooking them in the drawer. LOL)
We have 2 friends getting married in June, so this one will be sent to one of the sweet couples.
(I now see that I missed adding some bling to one of the flowers- I take care of that before I mail it. LOL)
When Making wedding cards do you:
Use the colors from the wedding
-Make it elegant
-Keep it fun and whimsical
-Use whatever you already have on hand
-try to create something to match the personalities of the couple
-Make it, are you kidding, I buy my Wedding cards?

Baby Congrats!

As a collector of Water Globes (well, I was before I had kids, LOL), I was so excited when I saw this one on a Cricut cartridge. As soon as the globe was cut I had to use it- and yes, I was in the middle of another project at the time. (Remember I have stampers ADD?!? LOL) It really is funny because I don't know anyone expecting right now. I guess I am ready when the need arises. :-)
The stamp is Hello Baby from TAC. The sentiment is from Trendy Greetings. The cute little giraffe is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I added LOTS of glitter- not only to the card, but to my counter in the studio, the floor, me........ well, you get the idea. *chuckle* I added a little bling to the corners to finish this one off. So what do you think? (Hee hee, I stole that line from Barb.)

Hello

I mentioned yesterday that I had complete 12 cards. Because I needed so many (to send to folks that have been out of our Sunday School class for a couple of weeks) I went with a simple design. I then assembled them assembly line style.
I love that little sheep, and he is so versatile.
Supplies-
cardstock- Navy and Periwinkle
Stamps- Hoppity Skippity and Cute as a bug (Hostess set from Serendipity by TAC)
Misc non-TAC-punch and ribbon.

Limited Supply Challenge #1-Layout

I stole about an hour last night in the studio. I complete 12 cards (mainly finishing touches) and the layout for yesterday's Limited Supply Challenge.

I am trying to get Haileybug's 1st birthday album done. I am using the LillyAnna collection from TAC. And like Hunter's first- Hailey's is also 6x6- I love those little albums!!!

So here goes-

Cardstock- LillyAnna

Designer Paper- LillyAnna SWIC

Markers-Tombow Pastel

Misc- Black pen, and lid for tracing circles on cardstock, Paper trimmer and scissors

This was a fun challenge for me. I did discover that I may be hooked on Pop dots- that may be the next addition to our "kit". LOL I enjoyed getting back to the basics. (Oh, and this was a good way to welcome back my MOJO!!! I sometimes want to use everything, and it just gets so overwhelming.)

Leave me a link so I can see your limited supply layout.

Challenge- Limited supplies #1

Today I am going to challenge you. I want to see a scrapbook layout using only-
A paper trimmer
Scissors,
Cardstock
Designer paper
Pens/Markers
Computer
and adhesive

No extras!! I want to show those new to scrapping that you do not have to spend lots of money to be creative. (This is also a good reminder for anyone on a scrapping diet that we don't need tons of stuff. LOL)

So, I want to see lots of creativity!! You may use any size to create a double or single page layout.
Leave me a comment and a link to your layout. I will give you until next Monday to post your links.

Until later~

ETA- Sorry Barb, no stamps this week. What I would like to do is each week add an item or two to our list. Think of it as a little trip, we will make some stops along the way to add all the fun stuff. LOL

Today's non-crafty post.....

How do you do it? How do you find/make time to create? I am a SAHM to a 2 yo and 4 yo- 'nuff said, LOL. Between the kids, my wonderful husband, the house, laundry, preparing meals, church, personal Bible study, a couple of ministries at church, I have no time or energy to create anything. I have tried to schedule a time slot to get in the studio- but my MOJO must not get the memo to show up on Tuesday evenings from 6-8:30. LOL
Tuesday evening was so nice outside, the kids were having blast-we took them to a local park, the one with a pond, for a walk. We took the wagon, but they were too excited they wanted to play on the stretch equipment. LOL

After the park we stopped by Sonic for some ice cream. Look at this cute little sundae- it is the PERFECT size for the little ones. Hunter picked Reeses and Haileybug went with M&Ms.

(My kids love the cherries, see Sister has just the stem in her hand. LOL)

Lesson learned- I don't want to be so busy preserving memories that I am not making new memories!! They are only little for such a short time, and I want to enjoy every moment!! Besides, my latest batch of pictures were delivered yesterday. I now have 300 more pictures to scrap- when I get a round to it. LOL

I am blessed beyond measure!!!

McQueen

We have one happy boy. Joann's called yesterday, the Cricut Cartridge we ordered over a week ago was ready to be picked up. Hunter was sure that someone else would pick it up before we got there. LOL He was so excited, we walked in Js and while I waited for someone to bring it from the back Hunter drug daddy back to look at stickers and stuff. I got the cartridge and started down the aisle to find daddy and the kiddos- it only took a split second for Hunter to run to me and take his cartridge. Then we needed some paper, we ended up at Mike's. Hunter was giving daddy directions on how to get to Mikes, he has only been there maybe 4 times. He is so good with directions!!

Today we finally got to play with the cartridge and this was our first project-

I know you can't tell from the picture, but this thing is HUGE!! It is 6.25" High- probably 10ish inches wide. I chose an easy one to start with, Hunter has already requested Mac. LOL

Hailey was very patient while I cut McQueen, but now she is excited to make The Little Mermaid. I guess that will be moved to the top of the list. LOL

Tonight is work night, I have a bunch of cards I need to get done. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some cards to share.

Untillater~

Lilly Anna

Anyone else ready for spring? How about a spring card? I love Lilly Anna- the colors are so bright and girlie. The designer paper and cardstock are from the Lilly Anna collection. The background was stamped with Petal Pack using versamark. That cute little butterfly (and "hello") are one of the Hostess choices from Serendipity.

Quickie- 4-9

This is one of my favorite stamp sets from The Angel Company's Serendipity Magalogue. (Everything is Blooming) The girls are adorable and the long-legged birdies are too cute!! I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, then sponged the background-so fun. I love to color!! LOL The cardstock is from the Blue greens Mono pack don't you love how the ribbon from Reece coordinates with that cardstock?

Thanks for stopping by!!

Linear sentiments

Can you believe I stamped a card? Yep I did. I finally had some very productive work time on Tuesday. LOL

I used the Cricut to cut the image layer and the orange mat, it reminds me of several label die cuts that are out now. I used the Linear Sentiments stamp set from The Angel Company with the Palette Orangerie and Boudoir Blush inks, I am surprised that they look so well together. I think I ended up with a nice festive card- perfect for a late winter birthday. :-)

Pooh made with the Cricut

I have been wanting to make some "Thinking of You"cards for our Shut-ins from church. I got 9 done last night, they were super quick to put together. I used the Cricut and the Pooh and Friends cartridge. Pooh is paper pieced- I really like paper piecing and the Pooh cartridge makes it really easy. I cut Pooh at 4" and then used a 4.25" square card base. I stamped a Bible verse on the inside, and finished off the card with some cute ribbon.
I am loving the Cricut Expression!! Hunter loves it too, but he has decided he needs the Original Cricut- because it is his size. LOL He has some cartridges picked out that he wants. I told him that he needs to get a job. LOL
