Christmas Tag Swap

I am a part of a great group of scrapping ladies. It is no secret that there is some serious talent in that group! We recently completed a card swap, and having the creative juices flowing decided to do a tags swap. We needed to make 10 tags, and I can hardly wait to get 10 tags back!

I did 5 each of 2 different designs. For my first tag I went "old school." LOL

I started with a pre-made tag that I have had in my stash forever. I stamped my image (one of my all time favorites!!) and colored with my Prismacolor pencils. I have used my Copics almost exclusively for the past 3 years and almost forgot how much fun it is to color with the pencils. I used some white Liquid Applique that I have been hoarding forever. Again, I had forgotten how much fun it is to play with that stuff! I love this tag! I hope the ladies do too!
Supplies-
Stamp- Perky Penguins- Red Rubber Design, "To/ From"- Christmas Circles- Red Rubber Designs, "be merry" from my stash
Ink- memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage photo Distress Ink
Misc- Liquid Applique
Misc- white Liquid Applique, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Crystal Stickles, red rhinestones, red & white Bakers Twine

My second tag is a little more formal, and has lots of layers.

I chose to used lots of die cuts on this one, thank goodness for the Big Shot. I started with Spellbinders Labels 8 cut in Ripe Avacodo. I stamped it with a small snowflake with Versamark ink for a tone on tone effect. The scalloped circle and the "bookplate" were cut with the Make it Memorable dies from Taylored Expressions. I then used the Circles Spellbinders dies.(I love how dies from different companies work together so well!) All edges were inked with Landscape Palette ink. A tiny rhinestone and a little Ripe Avacodo ribbon finished my tag. Not only did I use lots of layers, but I pop dotted each of them too. I enjoy layering up my tag because I have to watch it on my cards.
Thanks for stopping by!

Colored pencils on Kraft

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I love the bright colored flowers on kraft cardstock. I drug out the Prismacolor pencils for this one and I admit it was fun using them again.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Hello Baby take 2....

I told you yesterday I have fallen in love with Hello baby all over again!! Today I have used the giraffe on a die cut. How cute is that little onesie???!!! See, you can stamp on just about anything! LOL
Supplies- Stamps- Curls and swirls and Hello Baby
Ink- Toile Pink Palette and Boudoir Blush Palette and Noir Palette
Card Stock- Bazzill
Die cut- the Cricut and New Arrival cartridge
Misc- Prismacolor Pencils, OMS, pop dots, ribbon, embossing folder, Tombow markers and Dew drops
Little details-*Die cut was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, a Tombow marker was used to shade the edges of the die cut- perfect for getting in those tight little spaces, then pop dotted
*Bazzill cardstock was run through the Big Shot with the Swiss dot embossing folder and then inked with a stiff brush- love the softness
*ends of ribbon were inked
*Swirls were inked first with the lighter color than randomly touched with the darker color before being stamped onto the cardstock (Love this technique!)
*2 corners were rounded
*Yummy dew drops- (I always use mini glue dots to adhere them)

Baby Congrats!

As a collector of Water Globes (well, I was before I had kids, LOL), I was so excited when I saw this one on a Cricut cartridge. As soon as the globe was cut I had to use it- and yes, I was in the middle of another project at the time. (Remember I have stampers ADD?!? LOL) It really is funny because I don't know anyone expecting right now. I guess I am ready when the need arises. :-)
The stamp is Hello Baby from TAC. The sentiment is from Trendy Greetings. The cute little giraffe is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I added LOTS of glitter- not only to the card, but to my counter in the studio, the floor, me........ well, you get the idea. *chuckle* I added a little bling to the corners to finish this one off. So what do you think? (Hee hee, I stole that line from Barb.)

Sweet Skunks

Tuesday evenings I try to use as a "work" night in my studio. I was able to get a few Valentine Cards done tonight. I chose Sweet Skunks from The Angel Company to use this year. I fell in love with those cute little stinkers the first time I saw them!! Who can resist a cute, innocent skunk with flowers? LOL
I love the Miss Moxie paper collection, it makes a very pretty non-traditional Valentine paper, don't you think? The Starburst Florals and "Love" from Love doodles are stamped in L'Amore red. The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and a colorless blender. Then the Mega and Giga scalloped punched were used. I am so happy that TAC is now carrying these!!
This next card uses the ribbon from the Miss Moxie collection.

Challenge card

Here is a card created for a card challenge over on the Paper Wings site. The challenge was to make a window card. I used the Coluzzle cutting system and Nesting Oval template to make the window opening. Perky Penguins is stamped inside of the card, and colored with Prismacolor pencils and a colorless blender pencil. The paper just retired from The Angel Company- Vintage Holiday. The Sentiment is Trendy Greetings, also from TAC. A little Stickles for bling, and this is a very easy card to make.

Halloween Card

If you know me very well, then you know that I am not into Halloween. I can honestly say that it is my least liked holiday. I guess I just don't "get it". LOL

Well, I joined a swap for Halloween cards. I am glad that I did. I got back some amazing cards. And I also bought what I think is the cutest Halloween stamp set. The set is called you'reatreat from TAC. Sadly enough, it will be retiring at the end of the year.

Here is my swap card. I was going for a treat bag look- do you think I pulled it off?LOL

The paper used is Simply Spooky also from TAC- and also retiring at the end of the year. I used Prismacolor pencils and Noir ink.

I will be posting the retiring list from The Angel Company this week. There are some very nice stamps retiring this year.

Finally, some cards to share!

I finally have some cards to share. I fell in love with this turkey the very first time I looked through The Angel Company catalogue. I knew I would be giving this little guy a loving home. I will be the first to admit that in real life the turkey is probably the ugliest animal I have ever seen. I remember taking Hunter to a petting zoo last year and he was terrified (kicking and screaming scared) of a huge, ugly turkey. I took him to pet the goats and he kept looking over his shoulder for that turkey. LOL Well, I don't think he would be the least bit frightened by this gobbler all decked out in his little Pilgrim hat.

The next card is a Gate fold card, my very first time making one of these. It was so easy, I have to ask myself why I haven't done one before now. The image is attached to only one side so that you can open it in the middle.
The Give thanks stamp set from TAC was used on both cards. I used the Yellow Oranges Mono pack of card stock. Both images were colored with Prismacolor pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits (OMS). I used my computer to print Psalm 100:4 for the inside. I am putting together a Card Kit for October featuring this stamp set.

3x3 Card tote

Here is a little tote to hold those cute little 3x3 cards or tags. It was very easy to make, and I think it is just adorable. The stamp is Oopsie Daisy -a TAC set. I also used Matchmakers card stock, black card stock, Southwest corner punch, and Prismacolor Pencils from The Angel Company. I used grosgrain ribbon for the little handles.
I think I need to make a couple of these for hostess gifts.

I also want to remind you about the Remember September Special running through the end of the month.

I am amazed at how fast TAC ships their orders out. I placed my order on Tuesday. Thursday was delivery day- all the way from Kansas! It is always fun to unpack the box and see all the goodies.

I just had to jump right in and make a non-traditional Christmas card.

I used a stamp set called Flamingo Christmas, and the sentiment is Holiday Liners. Image was stamped with Noir ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils. I matted it on black card stock, and then two layers of TAC's Matchmaker card stock. So, what do you think?

We are off today to celebrate Hunter's 3rd birthday!!! I hope you all have a great weekend.
