Get Well Soon.

How about a Mix and Match card? LOL I used a little bit of this and a little bit that for this one. The Cricut, Swiss Dot Embossing folder, Big Shot, two stamps from TAC, ribbon, Prismacolor pencils, stickles and ink. LOL

Love grows here

I finished the double page 12x12 LO for Barb in AZ over the weekend. It arrived safe and sound so now I can share the photos here. Do you remember the sneak peek I shared a couple of post down? Well, here is the completed LO...

This is the left half. I used the Cricut for the grass, clouds, flowers and for the stencil I made for the title. I inked the title, the edges of the clouds and the grass and the flowers. The stems are hand sewn- I love the look and it is so easy. The flowers are layers and buttons, one has a pom pom center.

This is the right side. I added a paper pieced bird to this side. Barb's photos are covered- I will not post pictures of other people without their permission.

I hope you enjoy!!

Less than five minutes-

I have really been struggling to be creative lately. It seems there is always something else I need to be doing. LOL Being a mom of two wee ones, I need to make the most of my crafty time.
I usually have a need for cards when I head to the studio- this week the need was for 5 Get Well cards.
Here are I have completed so far-

I used paper from Making Memories Paperie, the flowers and buttons are from the same collection. The sentiment is from TAC. How's that for a couple of Less than five minute cards?

Crazy outfit

He is what you get when a boy dresses himself. I know this will make a very cute scrapbook page, when I get around to it. LOL

Yep, Sponge Bob pants and a flannel shirt- buttoned up wrong. LOL

Made you smile, didn't he?

Until later~

ETA-I am back- I had a Momma moment- Yes, those are

WALL-E pants he is wearing and not Sponge Bob. LOL

ETA- I change the title, lesson learned- be very careful of my titles.

Swap

Have you ever done a swap? There are so many different ways to do a swap. I have swapped stamped images, cardstock samples, brads, cards, Scrapbook pages, embellishments..... But I have to say that my current swap is like none I have done before. We sent our pictures to someone else to create the Layouts.

Here is the one I got back. I had sent pictures of my kids from Christmas 2007-

It was so exciting to see what someone else did with my pictures. I love the layout of the pictures! Cheryl was so nervous she almost didn't join in the swap. You can see she did a beautiful job!!

Here is a sneak peek of the one I am working on, yep, I am still working on it. LOL

Barb sent some lovely pictures of her family for me to work with. This is what I have so far. I did some hand stitching- my first time do that on a scrapbook page! It was easier than I thought it would be- and I did it while I was watching the Westminster Dog show. (Love that show!! We watch it every year! LOL)
I am hoping to get it finished up and sent back to her soon.

Cute Cow

Isn't this cow just too cute? I can not help but smile when I see her. I hope it makes Emma smile too, birthday girls should have lots of smiles. :-) The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. The swirlies were stamped with Versamark and then embellished with lots of brads. Another quick and easy card. LOL

I love my Cricut!! Last night I brought the Cricut and the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge out along with my (huge) box of scraps. The kids just kept picking out what they wanted cut. We had a lot of fun with it. Before the night was over they had a paper sword fight. LOL DH was very impressed too. (BTW- did you know that there will be 29 new cartridges released this year??!! I just hope my family doesn't see the Sponge Bob one that is coming soon! LOL)

Today's Blessings-
*Mom's birthday is today!!*
*Mom is doing very well, and doesn't need to see the DR for 6 months!!**
*Sturdy shelter (we had 65 MPH winds last night)*
*My loving family*
*Reconnecting with old friends on Facebook*

Mixing New with old

Awww, last night I finally got in my Tuesday night work night. I did get a couple of things done, and one big project well under way.
My card for today is DH's Valentine. I didn't use the traditional Valentine colors on this one. And for that matter I didn't use traditional Love stamps either. LOL But, I think it works.

The little lion was a lot of fun to construct. I stamped him using Cognac (2 times) and Burnt Umber (1 time) Palette Inks. For the Burnt Umber I cut out the mane and layered it directly on one of my Cognac lions. For the second Cognac image I cut out only the head and then attached with pop dots. I love the dimension. The lion and the sentiment are from Wild for you, a current stamp set with The Angel Company. The swirlies are from an "old" Limited Edition set. ( LOL, I broke my resolution and only made ONE of this card. LOL)

Things are crazy here...

I have had a "grab on and hang tight" week. You know what I am talking about? It was a crazy week. This week is going to be even worse. One of mom's younger brothers passed away on Saturday, we will be traveling for his services this week.

I haven't been able to work on anything in a while so I will share this with you.....

Yep, DH bought me the Cricut Expression AND Paper Doll Dress Up. Woo hoo. I am so excited to play with this little baby.

I am really hoping to have something creative to share with you soon.
