All of the edges have been scored with the
Paper- Robin's egg 2, white and black card stock.

Date book

This is a little 4x4 Birthday book. The Amelia SWIC designer papers were used for the covers. The coordinating cardstock was used for the pages and as embellishments. The letters on the tag were cut with the Big Shot. The layered flowers were completed with a square brad from the Amelia Hardware set. The eyelets are also from that same set. The ribbon is also a part of the Soar with it Collection.

Each month is embellished differently, and there is still ample room to record names and dates for birthdays of friends and family members. This little book makes a great gift, and can be used year after year.
The designer papers were attached to the coasters with Mod Podge to make them durable.
Swirlygigs were stamp with Burnt Umber Palette ink.

Hunter is all better. He is back to playing and picking on his sister. He was a real trooper. Sister is glad to have him back at full speed. LOL
The picture today is for those that always want more pictures of the kiddos.(Waving to Aunt Bob and Grandma B!!)
I am so excited, tomorrow I am holding a FUNshop. It is with some awesome ladies my sister works with. (An added bonus- we get to see our families! Did I mention it is a 2 hour drive?) I have been spending a little time getting everything ready. Next week I will have lots of pictures to share.

It's been a week

It has been awhile week since I posted. I don't have anything to share today, I just wanted you to know I am still here.
My son started running a fever last Thursday. I took him to the Dr on Saturday and he had strep throat. Poor little guy, this is the first time he has really been sick. He has decided that he does not want to take his medicine, but he does not fight too bad.
I am still working on a FUNshop for the 26th. I was with this group of ladies back in October and they are a great bunch to be with.

Blessings today-

Spring has sprung

Spring is finally here. I know, I know we are due 3 more snows. We have the old (but true) saying here in Ohio- 3 more snows after the forsythia blooms. And guess what- no blooms yet. The kiddos have been enjoying the sun and warm days. I swear I have half of the sandbox in the tub each evening after bath time. LOL At the rate they are going we will only have sand for 3 more days. LOL

Not only have I been outside with the kids, but I have been busy creating. I have a FUNshop in a couple of weeks. I *think* I know what we will be doing. It took me a little playing to finally come up with some great projects. (I will share them after the FUNshop.) Also, for the first time ever I worked on some submissions, we will see how that goes-wish me luck.

Here is one of the cards I made for another family birthday this month. The card is based on a sketch by Toni over on Paper Wings.

Bandanna Technique

How about a technique today? This is the Bandanna Technique. It is very easy to do, and looks great!
Supplies needed-

Dark card stock- (I used TAC's Scarlet Card stock)

Black ink- (Palette Noir )

White ink or a white Gel pen-(Palette Canvas and a Gelly pen)

swirly stamps-(TAC's Curls and Swirls and swirlygigs)

Acrylics

1.) Stamp your card stock with a larger stamp using black ink.

2.) Use white ink to stamp smaller images and the white gel pen to make dots and other random shapes. The edges were "distressed" with the white ink pad.

Finish card as desired.
Tac's Wild West, black card, and a little ribbon complete this card for a Little Cowboy's 2nd birthday.
Be sure to share your Bandanna cards, I want to see them!!
Until later~

Edited to add: Spell check changed the spelling from bandana to bandanna, after checking with Google's Askaword.com, I see that either spelling is correct. Hmmm, just thought you might like to know LOL
